Anastasia Island State Recreation Park

Located just off SR A1A about one and a half miles from downtown St. Augustine is Anastasia State Park. Anastasia State Park is one of St. Augustine’s renowned parks and beaches and is a great place to enjoy camping, swimming, fishing, picnicking, windsurfing and other exciting outdoor activities. With over 4 miles of pristine beaches, an ecologically rich tidal salt marsh and shells galore, Anastasia State Recreation Park is a great place to spend the day with your loved ones.

Visitors to the park can enjoy the beaches at the park as well as the nature trails that are perfect for hiking and bicycling. The shaded hammock forests lead you to the ancient dunes located on Anastasia Island and to the fully equipped campground facilities. Island Joe’s camp store, rental shop and grill sells beach essentials and rents equipment for a variety of activities you can enjoy at Anastasia State Recreation Park.

Anastasia State Recreation Park also plays host to several events each year including the Haunted Hayride during the Halloween season and the Beach Bash which takes place each season in June and features campfire programs on Saturday nights. Fees for the park are $5 per vehicle, with a maximum of eight people and pedestrians and bicyclists can pay $1.
