Our Location

We are in the ideal location for discovering the city's wonderful restaurants, shops, and attractions. The Inn on Charlotte is one historic house away from the Matanzas bay front. And we are 1050 feet from the historic fort, Castillo de San Marcos and just 600 feet to the Bridge of Lions.

Directions to Inn on Charlotte Fly into Jacksonville (to our north 50 miles) or Daytona (to our south 50 miles) on major airlines or into St. Augustine/St. Johns County Airport (SGJ) - just a 10 minute drive. Rental cars are available at all these airports.

Driving From Points North

Take I-95 to Exit 318 (SR 16) and head east on SR 16. At US 1 turn right, following US 1 South to the traffic light at W Castillo Drive. Turn Left onto W. Castillo Drive and follow it to the dead-end at Ripley's: Believe It ~ or Not! museum. Turn right and stay to the right, watching out for pedestrians - they have the right of way in St Augustine - drive past the fort and bay front while you go a 1/2 mile to Cathedral Place (at the Bridge of Lions), and turn right -and right again – right around flag pole - onto Charlotte St. We are in the second block on your left.

Driving on A1A from Points North

Take A1A south from Ponte Verdra. At Villano Beach, Turn Right onto the bridge to mainland. Follow A1A south into St Augustine and stay to the right in the city, watching out for pedestrians - they have the right of way in St Augustine - drive past the fort and bay front while you go to Cathedral Place (at the Bridge of Lions), and turn right -and right again – right around flag pole - onto Charlotte St. We are in the second block on your left.

Driving From Points South

Take I-95 to Exit 311 (SR 207), and head east. At US 1 turn left, following US 1 north. Turn right onto W. Castillo Drive and follow it to the dead-end at Ripley's: Believe It ~ or Not! museum. Driving on A1A from Points South

Take A1A north from St Augustine Beach, as you cross the Bridge of Lions, take your second (immediate) turn right onto Charlotte St -at the flag pole. We are in the second block on your left.

Parking

Some rooms park offsite so the room you booked has an assigned a parking space (Look at the full name of your room and see your emails to download a Map/Permit only if needed.) If you don't know where to park, or need to unload, pull into the bottom of driveway beside the Inn on Charlotte entrance, turn on your hazard flasher, and come ring the door bell. We will help you find your parking.

 !!!Warning -There's no extra parking at or around the Inn. Unattended cars will be towed and please DO NOT stop in the street - It's dangerous.

Looking for Lot #8?  From the Inn (52 Charlotte St,) continue going North on Charlotte, on the next block, the 6th building is a shop called 'Gabriella's', turn left into the lot next to it. Park ONLY in your assigned space and make sure your parking permit is on your dashboard.
