Augustine is the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine
Preserve (GTMNERR) which is a nationally recognized wildlife research
preserve. Comprised of more than 60,000 acres of protected
salt marsh, mangrove tidal pools and tidal wetlands, the GTMNERR is one of the most scenically
beautiful regions of St Johns County. The rich and abundant
maritime wildlife flourishes here and pictures of this
region always come out gorgeous. With plenty of fishing,
nature trails, and a brand new gigantic education center,
the Guana Tolomato Matanas National Estuarine Preserve is a
great place to spend the day enjoying St Augustine Fishing.
